Fidel is a blog run by Betselot Dejene and Amen Getahun. It covers a wide range of topics from best-selling books to politics and media. The Blog gets its name from the Amharic word 'fidel' meaning letter. That symbolizes that each letter comes together to help us create our powerful and beautiful paragraphs.
Fidel was created with a goal to Ignite, inspire, and engage readers.
Founder
Betselot Dejene
Betselot recently graduated from the Grier School in Tyrone, PA. She is a passionate reader and writer who is interested in International Relations and Diplomacy. She will be attending John Cabot University in January 2021. Having studied International Affairs and Globalization at the Yale Young Global Scholars program and also being involved in Model United Nations for a couple of years, Betselot brings valuable experiences to the work she does on the Blog. Betselot has also helped organize and chair several MUN conferences. Over the years, She has participated in a lot of leadership-forums/programs. In addition to IR, Betselot also enjoys watching and playing soccer.

Amen Getahun
Amen is the assistant content creator of this blog. When she's not busy reading like her life depends on it, you will probably find her trying to bake cakes she saw on YouTube. She's extremely passionate about music and writing and loves to exercise. Oh, and she loves chocolate.
